GOVERNMENT
& INSTITUTIONS

The Official Tribe of Shabazz organizes its governmental work through three constitutional branches and a separate lane of Government Departments, offices, councils, and institutions.

Official Seal
Three Branches

Executive. Legislative. Judicial.

Distinct constitutional functions working within one governmental framework.

Executive Administration

Oversight, coordination, and administrative assistance.

The Executive Branch provides leadership, administrative oversight, interdepartmental coordination, implementation support, records support, and accountability assistance. Government departments retain their own functional missions and program responsibilities rather than operating merely as subdivisions of the Office of the Chief.

Executive Branch

Office of the Chief

Provides executive direction and continuity; coordinates implementation of adopted governing instruments; assists departments with administration, interdepartmental coordination, official communications, reporting, and other support needed to carry out their respective responsibilities.

Departmental Government

Government Departments

Distinct service and development departments with their own missions, responsibilities, programs, and records. The Executive Branch oversees administration and provides assistance without absorbing each department's substantive work.
