VISION & MISSION

A beacon of leadership, self-development, family strength, education, economic capacity, preparedness, and service.

The Vision

A Beacon of Light and Leadership

The Official Tribe of Shabazz seeks to serve the Indigenous Community, all of North America, and the world as a Beacon of Light and Leadership.

Like the light of a lighthouse providing a directional path for the captain of a ship to steer safely to port in the midst of bad weather, we seek to provide direction when the way forward is difficult to see. Today in America, the weather is very bad — it is “Winter in America,” even in the summer.

We will provide leadership by utilizing our diverse skills and talents to create an environment where our people, especially our children, are motivated to achieve greatness.

We seek to empower our people to become self-sufficient shareholders in the economic and social fabric of the communities in which we live and serve. We are committed to the intellectual development of the Indigenous Family, with a laser-like focus on the development of our youth.

The Mission

F.E.E.D.

Family • Education • Economics • Defense

The mission of The Official Tribe of Shabazz is simple. It can be summed up in four letters: F.E.E.D. These are the cornerstones that must be carried into practice in order for our people and institutions to be successful.

F

Family

Family is the foundation of any society. When the family structure is strong, that strength feeds into society and helps create a strong and healthy community. Family is the Foundation of Community.

E

Education

Education is only as good as the information with which we educate ourselves. We must pursue a true education dealing with the facts of life, not fiction, and critically examine assumptions, half-truths, historical injustice, and systems that have distorted the education of our people.

E

Economics

For the Indigenous Family, economics must become more about us. We must do business with one another on a mass scale so that we can see and benefit from the economic power we already possess. The power is in the hands of the people.

D

Defense

Defending and protecting all that has been built through Family, Education, and Economics is a must. History teaches the cost of being unprepared. We are committed to disciplined, responsible, and lawful preparedness so that what our people build can be protected and preserved.

F.E.E.D. — Family. Education. Economics. Defense.
